I'm a baby portrait photographer in Johannesburg, South Africa.
My baby portrait gallery highlights my work as a baby photographer.
What do you charge for a baby portrait shoot?
My baby portrait prices start at R3 000.
I have a number of baby portrait options.

Why should I have photos of my baby?
Your newborn experience is not forever. The first six weeks after having your baby will keep you so busy that before you know it your newborn will be a baby.
If you missed the newborn stage or your previous babies let me capture an intimate, personal reflection of a moment in time of your baby. It will be an investment that never stops giving.
When should I book my baby shoot?
It is a good idea to plan your newborn or baby shoot.
You should book a newborn shoot within the first three weeks of birth.
A baby portrait session has a longer window of opportunity. There are so many magical phases within their first year that I offer a special three-sessions-in-the-first-year investment for baby portraits.
If you value having Stolen Moments™ contact me
Where are my baby's portraits taken?
Baby portraits are taken at my professionally equipped Johannesburg studio using special studio lighting.
These photos are usually shot against a seamless backdrop. White and black are popular backdrop colours. I also have backdrops in the colour of rosewater and black moss.
Black and white baby silhouette photos are striking and I capture these in my studio.
It is important that whatever background is selected one should never see the background before they see your baby in front of it.
How much do you charge for baby portraits?
My baby portrait sessions starts at R3 000.
My three-sessions-in-the-first-year investment starts at R7 650.
It is truly an investment that will never stop giving.
Please contact me for further details.
Who can join the baby shoot?
Your baby is the focus of this shoot option even thought others are welcome to join for an additional fee.
My aim is to capture Stolen Moments™ of your baby.
I describe them as transient and fragile slices of life, an intimate personal reflection of a moment in time, an investment that never stops giving.
I offer a family portrait shoot option which includes grandparents for free.
How to prepare for baby portraits?
People always ask what their baby should wear. The simpler the better. Choose something that shows off their delicate soft skin. The classic white baby grow or vest is timeless.
Consider something with texture (blanket or jersey) as the contrast with their skin is striking.
Consider something of symbolic importance or value.
Plan the outfits in advance. If you are still unsure, bring a couple of outfits and we can make a final decision together.
I have a range of fabrics that we can also play with.
If you choose to be part of the shoot ensure that your hands are neat and trimmed. Hands are so expressive and always in style. A manicure is not necessary.
If you are going to get a hair cut, get it a week before the shoot. This way, the cut will grow in a little and you will have some time to get used it. Try do you hair yourself on the day of your shoot. It looks more natural which is timeless.
A good night rest will be a plus.
What can I expect from a baby portrait session?
Since 2005 I have photographed hundreds of newborns and babies. I will bring all my years of experience and energy to your shoot.
You are welcome to share examples of maternity portraits you have gathered. We will discuss these ideas and together create a unique collection of moments for you.
I have years of experience when it comes to patience. Together we will get your baby to relax and if they have a "moment" I will capture that too. I want you to have an all encompassing collection of real moments.
You will leave having had a refreshing experience. It is a precious hour and always fun.
I will email you a contact sheet with plenty of images to choose your favourites from. It is a good idea to get a second opinion when you make your selection. We are so critical.
Your favourite, edited digital images will be sent to you in high and low resolution via WeTransfer.
Because your baby's portraits are important to you I backup them up. In the event that you loose your favourite, edited digital files they can be retrieved for a fee.
