Each portrait is created in my Johannesburg studio using controlled light, careful direction, and time.

A guided studio experience
Portrait sessions are calm, unhurried, and fully guided.
You are never expected to perform, pose instinctively, or “know what to do.”
I work closely with you throughout the session — guiding posture, gesture, expression, and energy — while allowing natural moments to surface.
We are not trying to produce quantity.
We are waiting for one real moment — the one that feels unmistakably true.
Aesthetic and approach
My portrait style is minimal, emotionally led, and rooted in classical portrait principles.

This approach allows the subject — not styling, props, or trends — to remain central.

After the session
After your portrait session, I carefully curate the strongest images.
You will be invited to view a refined selection and choose the portraits that resonate most deeply.
Each selected image is professionally retouched with restraint and care, preserving character, texture, and emotional integrity.

Investment

This portrait experience is designed for those who want more than a quick image. It is for those who value time, direction, restraint, and the making of something that feels true.
Your session fee is R3000.
This includes your time in the studio, creative direction throughout, access to my years of experience in shaping light, expression, and presence, and the portrait session itself.
Portrait collections are chosen separately.
You may begin simply or choose a fuller body of work, depending on what you want this experience to hold.
