HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
Consider style, quality, experience and price to help you choose the right portrait photographer.
Style
Choose a photographer whose style most resonates with you. My style focuses on "you" with sensitivity, insight and humour, plus being timeless.
Quality
Explore a portfolio and look for consistency in a photographer's work. Amateur portfolios have a couple of accidentally good images from many sessions. You risk getting one or two good images from your session. My photos are properly exposed, sharp, and well-framed.
Experience
Years of experience may not necessarily equate to quality. I have been a dedicated portrait photographer since 2005. My genuine interest in people, humanities degree, Master's in portrait photography from The Portrait Masters, one of only two in Africa and sharp eye make me a natural portrait photographer.
Price
Like any quality product or service, good photography is expensive because quality equipment costs more. Lousy photography is even more costly. If you don't like your photos, you will have wasted time and money. If there is a chance to re-shoot, you will spend more money for a better photographer. It's often less expensive to get it right the first time.
