There is something distinct about the relationship between a mother and her son.
It begins in complete closeness.
Then, slowly, it changes.
Boys grow.
They become taller.
More independent.
More themselves.
The way affection is shown changes too.
But the connection does not disappear.
It simply takes another form.
This portfolio is a study of that relationship as I see it.
These mother & son portraits are shaped by gesture, expression, proximity, and the quiet familiarity of being known for a lifetime — whether I am photographing a small boy, a teenager, or a grown son standing beside his mother as an equal.
Some images are quiet.
Some are playful.
Some carry the unmistakable shift that comes with time.
This collection is especially close to me because the thread began with my own son.
What started as something personal became a way of seeing mothers and sons more clearly — not as a relationship fixed at one stage of life, but as one that keeps changing while holding onto where it began.
Growing up does not end the bond.
It reveals it differently.
