You do not need to arrive ready to be nude
Many women are interested in nude portraiture but uncertain about what actually happens in the studio.
You do not need to arrive confident.
You do not need to know how to pose.
And you do not need to decide beforehand how much you are comfortable revealing.
Some women begin fully dressed.
Some make implied or partially covered portraits.
Others choose to create nude portraits.
We begin where you are comfortable and take it from there.
There is no expectation.
What happens in the studio
My studio is in Blairgowrie, Randburg.
Your session is private and photographed only by me.
I work simply, usually with one light, a black background and very little else in the frame.
We begin with a few photographs and build from there.
I guide you throughout — where to stand, what to do with your hands, how to position your body and where to look.
You can stop, cover up, change direction or take a break at any time.
Nothing is rushed.
You remain in control of what you choose to reveal.
How I photograph the body
Nude portraiture relies heavily on light and posing.
Small changes in the position of a shoulder, hand, hip or chin can completely change the shape of a photograph.
I use light and shadow to reveal some parts of the body and allow others to disappear.
You are not expected to understand any of this.
That is my job.
The photographs may be fully nude, partially covered, implied or somewhere between the three.
How far we go is your decision.
Privacy and discretion
Your nude portraits are private.
They are not shared on my website, social media, in competitions or anywhere else without your written permission.
Many women keep their photographs entirely private.
Others allow me to show selected portraits.
Both choices are equally respected.
The photographs belong to your life before they belong in my portfolio.
Preparing for your session
There is less to prepare than you may think.
If you think you may make nude portraits, loose-fitting clothing before the session helps avoid marks on the skin.
Clean, natural nails photograph well, particularly because hands and feet can become an important part of these portraits.
Professional makeup can be arranged if you would like it, but it is not essential.
You may also bring one or two things you would like to be photographed in — perhaps a black dress, shirt, knitwear or jacket.
You do not need to arrive with a plan for every photograph.
You simply need to arrive.
Your nude portrait session
The session fee is R3,000.
The session fee covers the photography session, preparation beforehand, my direction throughout and the preparation of your photographs for selection.
When you book, you choose and pay for one of three portrait collections together with your session fee.
After the session, you can add additional portraits if there are more you would like to keep.
Nude portrait collections
Foundation — 10 portraits
R7,500
Total investment including session fee: R10,500
For those who want a small, strong group of finished portraits.
Signature — 15 portraits
R10,500
Total investment including session fee: R13,500
For those who want more variety and greater choice across the session.
Legacy — 25 portraits
R15,500
Total investment including session fee: R18,500
For those who want the broadest collection of portraits from the session.
Additional portraits are R1,500 each.
A black-and-white alternate version of a purchased portrait is R1,000 per portrait.
RAW and unedited files are not supplied.

Your price is confirmed when your booking is paid.
You choose how much you want to keep.
After your session
Once your portraits are ready, you will choose the photographs included in your collection.
Each selected portrait is individually finished and supplied as a high-resolution digital file.
You can also choose to have your portraits printed for your home.
Fine art prints, framed portraits and albums are available, and I can help you decide what will work for the photographs you have chosen and where you would like to live with them.
The photograph does not have to end on a screen.

Frequently asked questions
I guide you throughout — from the position of your hands and feet to your posture, body position and where to look.
You do not need to arrive knowing what to do.
I photograph women of different ages, shapes and sizes.
You do not need to lose weight, become fitter or change your body before being photographed.
Many women keep their nude portraits completely private. If I would like to use a photograph in my portfolio or elsewhere, I will ask you first.
If you choose to have professional makeup beforehand, your makeup artist will be there for that part of your appointment, but not during the nude portrait session.
You can also bring a few clothing options if you would like to begin dressed.
We do not begin by expecting you to step in front of the camera and immediately feel comfortable. We talk, make a few photographs and build from there.
You can take your time.
Your decision about whether anyone else ever sees your nude portraits is separate from your decision to have them made.
They can simply be yours.
