Portraits for models, actors and performers building, updating or extending a professional portfolio.
Some are making their first portfolio.
Others need new photographs as their work, age or appearance changes.
The purpose is not to make as many photographs as possible.
It is to make photographs worth putting in the portfolio.
Every photograph has to earn its place.
A portfolio needs enough range to show how you photograph without trying to show everything.
Expression matters.
Movement matters.
How you hold yourself in front of the camera matters.
And sometimes the photograph that reveals something unexpected is the one worth keeping.
Range does not mean becoming someone else.
I photograph new and working models, actors, performers and teenagers beginning to explore professional modelling or performance.
You do not need experience in front of the camera.
The photographs are made in my Johannesburg studio, where I direct you throughout.
